Linda Kay Johnson, 81, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and selfless devotion to her family, church, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Betty Clementine Crump Griffin and Hurley Griffin; her sisters, Hilda Houck, Lethel Anderson, Lorie Craig, Maudena Greene, and Ilene "Sally" Chapman; and her brother, Larry Griffin.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Harold Lyndy Johnson Jr.; her children, Barry Johnson and Ramona Johnson; her granddaughter, Kelly Miller, and her husband, Jeremy Miller; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Ryan and Austin. She also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and her church family who will forever cherish her memory.
Linda's life was a beautiful reflection of her faith in God. She loved the Lord with all her heart and faithfully served Him throughout her life. She was an active member of her church, attending services, and joyfully sang in the church choir for as long as her health allowed. Her faith guided every aspect of her life and inspired everyone who knew her.
She found great joy in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Linda loved cooking and baking, and nothing made her happier than sharing a meal with those she loved. She possessed the kindest heart, the gentlest spirit, and a love that knew no limits. Everyone who met Linda was touched by her warmth,compassion, and genuine kindness. She gave freely of herself and made everyone feel valued and loved.
While her family and friends will miss her deeply, they find comfort and peace in knowing that Linda was a faithful Christian woman who has been welcomed into her heavenly home. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
A graveside service to honor Linda's life will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir at 2:00 pm with Rev. Stuart White officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Miller, Ryan Armitage, Eddie Green, Larry Griffin Jr., Chad Ervin, and
Andy Johnson.
