She was preceded in death by her son Danny James Harrold and her father Walter Thomas Dishman, who were both waiting to welcome her to her Heavenly home.
Left to cherish Linda's memory are her husband David Severt, her mother Anna Dishman, her daughter Becky Medley (husband Steve), her sister Kathy Dillard (husband Ronald), her brothers Gary Dishman (Sabrina) and Buddy Dishman (wife Jennifer), her grandchildren Jacob Severt (wife Alexis), Stephan Medley, and Emilee Medley, her great-grandchildren Danielle, Madi, Ellie, and Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church for 40 years. Family was always Linda's top priority; she loved her family very much and they loved her in return. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
A funeral service will take place 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home's chapel, officiated by Pastor Michael Dishman, Pastor Russell Sheets, and her long-time Pastor Russell Cook.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Dishman, Buddy Dishman, Tyler Dishman, Steve Medley, Jacob Severt, and Jason Farmer.
