Lois F. West

Mrs. Lois Fox West, 93 of Lenoir passed away Saturday at Lenoir Health Care. Lois was born in Caldwell County to the late Lester Levi Fox and Nelia Long Fox. She is also preceded in death by her husband Conard M. West, her daughter Jean Pennington, one grandchild; Sandra Gail Pennington, three brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. West worked at Blue Bell in Lenoir for many years and retired from Little Stitches in Lenoir also. She was a member of Cedar Valley United Methodist Church for many years. Lois touched so many people during her time here on earth and is loved by her friends and family. She has left her love in the hearts of so many that she has touched during her lifetime. Most people knew Lois as “The Granny Woman” and she was very dear to all who knew her.

Lois is survived by her two sons; Carl M. West and wife Shirley of Lenoir, and Gary D. West and wife Brenda also of Lenoir, one son in law; Otis Pennington of Lenoir, 5 grandchildren; Jeff Pennington, Kathy Pennington and Tony Wilson, Troy West and Dennis Givens, Travis West and wife Debbie and Tracy West, 4 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lois will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Cedar Valley United Methodist Church with the Pastor Sarah Fouts and Pastor Julie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 one hour prior to the services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Pennington, Troy West, T. J. Wilson, Zachary King, Ethan King and Josh King.
