

Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Winebarger and Myrtle Emma Wilson Winebarger of Watauga County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Stevens Sr.; an infant daughter, Judy Elaine; sons, James Wesley and Dale Cleveland; granddaughters, Amy Lynnette, Lindsay Claire;brothers, Alex Winebarger, Mack Winebarger, Earl Winebarger, Laney Winebarger, Kent Winebarger and James Worley Winebarger; and sister, Bessie Broyhill.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Glen William Stevens of Lenoir and Millard Stevens Jr. and wife Carolyn of Hudson; her daughters-in-law, Joretta Stevens and Phyllis Stevens of Lenoir; a sister, Faye Whittington of Hudson; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Hibriten Baptist Church with Pastor Douglas Cox officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Icard, Michael Pritchard, Nathan Moore, Steven Haas, Austin Killen and Devon Killen.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
