
Mable Ruth Shoemake Kiziah, 90, of Granite Falls, passed peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Mable was born on April 1, 1936, to the late Howard and Wilma Shoemake.
In addition to her parents, Mable was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Henry Kiziah, her brother Gary Shoemake, and her sisters Hazel Hollander, Darlis Chandler, and Edith Philyaw.
Left to cherish Mable's memory are her son Randy Lee Kiziah (wife Kathy) of Granite Falls; her daughter Trevia Kiziah Colvard of Granite Falls; her grandchildren Crystal Croom (husband William), Angela Land (husband Eddie), Maranda Sanders (husband Dalton), and Jason Kiziah; her great-grandchildren Logan, Cameron, Gavin, Olivia, Tyler, Morgan, and Makenna; her 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved extended family and friends.
Mable was a nurturing and compassionate caregiver to all of her family and any stray animal she found. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, 522 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Croom, Gavin Croom, Eddie Land, Tyler Land, Jason Kiziah, and John Small.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Via Hospice nurse Angela Crisp for the extraordinary care she provided.
