Violet was a faithful Baptist. Until her health failed her, she was an avid churchgoer. She loved her Lord.
She is survived by her son Clarence Douglas Cannon, her daughters Miriam Rachel Cannon and Norma Jean Byrd, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchild, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several beloved friends and extended relatives.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Cannon, her son Dennis Ray Cannon, her brothers Ward, Floyd, and Dale Davenport, her sisters Roxie Stamper and Lois Blackwelder, and her grandson Daniel Taylor Cannon.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Rick Bowman and Assistant Pastor Ronnie Turner.
A committal service will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
