Marcella May Rose

Mrs. Rose was born on November 14, 1947 to the late Ulysses S. Grant May and Lucille Sanson May.

Mrs. Rose was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny MIllirones, Thomas May Robert May and a grandson, Devon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jackie Rose Sr., sons; Jerry Cox and wife Connie of Lenoir, Charles Rose and wife Virginia of Bluefield, WV, Jackie Rose and wife Lisa of Anawalt, WV, two daughters; Joyce Brown and husband Junior of Princeton , WV and Evelyn Vance (Kissy) of Bluefield, WV. Also left to cherish her memory are her two very special sisters; Nyoka Smith of Lenoir and Barbara Blevins of Lenoir, sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 1:00pm at Mountain View Memory Garden Cemetery in Huddy Kentucky.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Cox, Charles Rose, Jackie Rose, Brandon Roark, Frankie Underwood, Cody Underwood and Darrell Padgett.

For those wishing to send flowers, they may be delivered to Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home at 522 Wilkesboro Blvd. SE Lenoir, NC 28645. The funeral home will make sure they are delivered to the family and taken to Kentucky for the service.
