She was born September 30, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Phillip Marvin Whisenant and Estelle Braswell Whisenant. She was a faithful Christian, devoted wife and loving mother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Kenneth S. Braswell; son, Ronald Max Braswell; two great-grandsons, Johnathan Deal and Joshua Miller; two brothers, CH Whisenant and Jay Whisenant; two sisters, Marie Baldwin and Dolly Yount; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Braswell.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth S. Braswell Jr. and Stewart E. Braswell and wife Leslie of Taylorsville; two daughters, Iris C. Auton and husband Roger of Taylorsville, Elaine B. Kerley and husband Bruce of Taylorsville; two brothers, Marvin D. Whisenant and wife Gail of Lenoir, Douglas S. Whisenant and wife Deloris of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Judy W. Snyder and husband Steve of Lenoir; seven grandchildren, Kris Auton and wife Sandy, Julia McIlvain and husband Joel, Rebekah Moretz and husband Dwayne, Nathan Auton, Anna Maria Killmer and husband Matt, Ricky Auton and wife Robyn, Angela Miller and husband Titus. She was blessed with twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 26th at Pendry's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marshall Tidwell officiating. Receiving of friends and family will be held prior to the service from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Bethel Advent Christian Church on Draco Road.
