Mr. Potter was born October 2, 1962 in Caldwell County to the late John O. Potter and Carolyn Snyder Potter Conway.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Pamela Jones Potter of the home, a son, Marcus Potter and wife Nanlee Vang of Indian Trail, a daughter, Lenore Connolly and husband Chris of El Paso TX, brothers, Luke, Eric, Johnny Potter, John O Williams, all of Lenoir, sisters, Wanda Potter LaGamba of Lenoir, Reta Eller of Raleigh, aunts, Mary Dunn and Ora May of Mt. City, TN, Gladys Wade of Lincoln, Delaware, Pat Potter of Granite Falls and an Uncle, Jay Snyder of Lincoln Delaware.
Also left to cherish his memory are his precious grandchildren, Praxton Potter, Emmitt Connolly, Andrew Potter and Jaxson Potter.
Mr. Potter was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Dry Ponds Baptist Church, and worked as finishing room manager for Broyhill Furniture at the Pacemaker Plant. Mark loved his family above all else and treasured time with his grandchildren. He was a true outdoorsman, and enjoyed to fish and swim along with anything to keep him outside.
A funeral service will be held to honor Mr. Potter’s memory on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Dry Ponds Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Evans officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marcus Potter, Andrew Potter, Chris Connolly, Donnie Potter, Terry Potter, Clifton Potter and Shaun Helton.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
