Martha Cloer Reid

Born April 10, 1949 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Cloer, and Ester Watson Cloer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard Reid.

Mrs. Reid was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hudson. She worked in business as a CPA, and later was in sales at Walmart.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Clinton Reid (Penny) and Rick Reid (Elizabeth), all of Lenoir; her siblings, George Cloer, Trina Haigler and Wesley Cloer. Also she is survived by four grandchildren, Hannah Reese (Benny), Emily Mandeville (Ray), Joshua Reid, and Makayela Reid, and two-great grandchildren, Lyla Reese, and Katherine Mandeville.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 4:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Vogelpohl officiating. Inurnment will be at the church columbarium. The family will speak to friends after the service.
