She was born on October 11, 1934, to the late Alexander Dula, Sr and Virgie Roland Dula.
She was a member of Dula Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a Youth Choir organizer, Church Secretary, member of the Usher Board, Deaconess, and member of the Gospel Choir.
She retired from working for Walter and Jean Carpenter after 55 years. While working there, she built a special bond with their family, that continued to flourish after retirement.
She was a special person who never met a stranger. She always shared her love of Christ through her encouraging words, wisdom, advice, and her welcoming spirit. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she loved to celebrate Christ’s birth and to be with her family and friends, cooking, baking and sharing her home. She was always a confidant to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her strong faith and sense of humor were a way of life for her that touched so many people, especially her family.
