In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter Allen Rice and her beloved brother Keith Snyder.
Mildred is survived by her two children John Alan Rice (wife Jennifer) and Leah Anne Young (husband Courtney), her grandchildren Keegan Rice, Carter Rice, Schyler Young, Kensington Rice, Zollie Young, and Camden Rice, her siblings Georgia Douglas, Betty Bryan, Sam Snyder, Jerry Snyder, and Linda Farr, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. Family meant a lot to Mildred and Pottertown remained her favorite place to spend time. She loved to garden, pick strawberries, and create her homemade jam.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Rudy Hayes.
Interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Lenoir. Pallbearers will be John Alan Rice, Carter Rice, Courtney Young, Shane Snyder, Kenny Farr, and Heath Snyder.

Mildred is greatly loved and will be missed deeply.
