Milton Eugene Curtis

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life Barbara Curtis, his grandson Tim Curtis, his brothers Norman and Clyde Curtis, and his sister Louise Smith.

Left to cherish Gene's memory are his daughter Vickie Gunter (husband Gary), a nephew that he raised John Dellinger, two sisters Mary Wilkins and JoAnn Edmisten, a brother George Curtis, and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was a hard worker, a friend, and a helper. Every year he would take food to everyone in the neighborhood from the garden that he grew. You always knew what was on his mind. He retired from Henredon Furniture after many years working in the furniture industry.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, with Pastor Billy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to East Flat Baptist Church, 2063 E Flat Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
