Molli McLeod

Molli McLeod, 51, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on July 12, 2026. Born on September 30, 1974, in Watauga County, North Carolina, Molli was the daughter of Ruth Maxine Ward South of Granite Falls and the late Earl South.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry South, father-in-law, Michael McLeod, and grandparents, Hobert and Lilly South and Amos and Bessie Ward.

Molli had a giving spirit, and lived in a way that quietly lifted others, offering kindness without condition and care without hesitation. In the lives she touched, her presence was a reminder of what it means to be selfless, always putting others before herself.

In addition to her mother, Molli is survived by her husband, David McLeod and his mother, Mary McLeod (who treated Molli as her own child) of the home, her daughter and best friend, Tara Watson and her father, Jackie Watson of Zionville, a brother, Michael South of Lenoir, two sisters, Shannon Isaacs and husband T of Granite Falls, Lisa Miller and husband Randy of Zionville and four nephews, Blaze and Michael Isaacs of Granite Falls and Shane and Josh Miller of Boone and Matthew South and girlfriend Cheryl Setterly of Lenoir, two nieces, Heather Larsen of Boone and Amanda South of Happy Valley along with a great nephew Declan Larsen of Boone.

Services for Molli will be held privately.
