I was honored to know Nellie as my sister n law for many years until my brother James Walsh passed away. Nellie taught me to read and to swim. I spent the summer with her once in Fort Bragg, where my brother was stationed in the army. We use to sing in church and she taught me many beautiful gospel songs: I Want Have To Worry Anymore, Remind Me Dear Lord, There's Nothing My God Can't do, and our favorite City of Gold. She loved children and made the best hot fudge cake. We use to play cards, badminton, and shoot pool. We watched soap operas and played in the snow. So many wonderful memories. She was always kind to me and I am blessed to have known her. My deepest condolences to her husband Steve, you made her very happy and she just glowed any time she spoke of you.
