Nellie Sue Smith

She was born November 25, 1940 in Caldwell County to the late Joseph C. and Mary Beatrice Holsclaw Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Wayne Smith, sister Ann McCall and brother Dale Wilson.

Mrs. Smith was retired from Greer Laboratories and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Michael Smith and wife Wendy Smith of Hudson; two brothers: Jerald Wilson and wife Judy of Lenoir, and Kenneth Wilson of Jupiter, Florida; one grandchild who was the joy of her life: Zoe Smith.

Graveside service will be held Friday, October 24th - 11am at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor Sam Craven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice Care 902 Kirkwood St, NW Lenoir NC 28645 or Union Grove Baptist Church 1808 Union Grove Rd Lenoir NC 28645.
