Nora Lee Harris

Nora Lee Simmons Harris, 90, of Wilkesboro and formerly of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Avante at Wilkesboro. Always smiling, she was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Harris and two grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Harris.

She is survived by her sons, Vernon Eugene Harris, Cecil Dale Harris and wife Becky, and Carl Calvin Harris and wife Debbie, all of Lenoir; her daughters, Kathy Lee Harris Triplett of Wilkesboro, and Janette Harris Foster and husband Harold of Ferguson; grandchildren, Kim Harris, Aaron Harris, Jason Harris, Tammy Triplett Kinney, Lorie Triplett Kerley and Gwyn Thomas Foster; great grandchildren, Brittany Harris, Kaiden Kinney, Kobe Kinney, Ciara Wandling and Laura Foster; great, great grandchild, Connor Bullins.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Pendry’s Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Tester officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Kerley, Edward Kinney, Kobe Kinney, Gwyn Foster, Seth Tester and Mike Main.
