Pauline Edith Smith

Pauline Edith Smith, of Caldwell County, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.
She was born in Caldwell County to the late George Simmons and Linda Golds Simmons.
Pauline worked at Lenoir Hosiery for many years and retired from Singer after 31 years. She loved Christmas lights and enjoyed decorating her yard every Christmas. She loved working in her yard. She loved spending time with her family and loved her beloved dog, Ringo, whom has passed.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband Howard J. Smith, siblings; Fred Simmons, Charles Simmons, Helen Maltba and Grace Williams.
Those left to cherish her memory is a son, Howard Smith and wife Wanda, grandchildren; Howard Smith Jr and wife Emily, Darren Smith and wife Tonya, great grandchildren, Kristi Long and husband Danny, Lauren Biddix and husband Dustin, Autumn Smith and fiancé Jordan Lowdermilk, Corey Smith, Alexander Smith, great-great grandchildren; Issac Hollifield and Haley Hollifield.
A Funeral Service will be held at South Lenoir Church of God on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00pm with Bishop Ernest Bowes and Bishop Howard Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
Pallbears are Corey Smith, Ashton Moore, Matthew Clark, Danny Long, Dustin Biddix and Jordan Lowdermilk.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Dr. Ronald Dubow and staff at West Point Medical, Dr. James Hathorne and staff at the McCreary Cancer Center and the staff of Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Hudson for all their kindness and care.
