Heaven has a new angel…Remmington Davis Shook was heaven-born on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

The birth of Remmington was a greatly anticipated event that his family was very excited about. He was loved from the moment they knew they were expecting him. Even though Remmington never took a breath here on earth, he has left an imprint on many lives that will last forever.

Remmington Davis Shook is the beloved son of Heaven Elaine Lail and Tyler Alan Shook, both of Hudson. He is also survived by his brother, Tyler Shook Jr. of the home, a sister, Raven Shook of Connelly Springs, maternal grandmother, Suzanne Lail of Yadkinville, paternal grandparents, Kim Hancock and Clinton Hancock, both of Hudson, great-grandparents, Jack and Jeanie Davis of Sawmills, Tony and Gail Hancock of Mooresville, Sharon Shook of Hickory, Aunts, Taylor Hancock of Hudson, Hailey Lail and fiance Nick Mondrut of Yadkinville.

This sweet angel was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Larry Shook.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Gouge officiating.

Words from Remmington’s Mother: This is a hard post for me to do. I just wanna start off by saying pregnancy is not an easy thing at all. A woman's pregnancy can change just like that. I went from a healthy pregnancy to losing my child. I may not have had the opportunity to go full term and actually experience labor. Today is the hardest day of our lives. Today I gave birth to a handsome little boy, Remmington Davis Shook, but, unfortunately I can't bring my child home! I can’t love him, care for him, cuddle him, be there for anything he needs. Today I lost my child at 2:00pm and he has gained his wings to watch over us all. He was my angel baby before today and now he really is my angel baby. We love you so much and would have done anything to keep you here but it wasn't the plan for us. I’ll see you again my baby boy but till then know you will always be in my heart andI’ill never forget you. FLY HIGH ANGEL

When I found i was pregnant all I wanted was for you to be healthy and I was still in shock. Once I saw your precious face and to be able to hold you and love you it was worth it like everyone said it would be. You came and left the biggest imprint on our lives before we knew you were our little remmi. Me and you spent more time together than anyone else. No matter what you made me a proud momma from the moment I knew I was pregnant with you. The only 2 things I ask is wait for momma and daddy and nana at heavens gate till we get there and run to us as fast as you can, I promise ill be walking through with arms open and waiting for you. This isn't goodbye its more of see you later but till we can be with each other stay strong and we will do our best to stay strong for you. I miss you so much and my heart breaks every minute of the day but I love you more than words could ever express my little fox. I will see you again one day. Watch over us my beautiful precious angel 💙 Momma and daddy love you so much 👣👨‍👩‍👦
