She was born February 6, 1955 in Caldwell County to the late Maynard Clay Hicks and Myrtle Crump Hicks.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by a son, Chad Brandon Peele.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Watts of Boomer; daughters, Christy Michelle Richards of Moravian Falls, Heather Renee Bare and husband Coy of Lenoir, and Sara Elizabeth Conner and husband Matthew of Lenoir; brother, Richard Jay Crump of Lenoir; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a step-son, John Douglas Watts.
A memorial service honoring Mrs. Watts’ life will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Debord officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
