Robert "Bobby" Lyn Davis, 67, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Mr. Davis was born on March 2, 1959, in Caldwell County to the late Wallace Jayhugh Davis and Margaret Helen Setzer Davis .
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Davey Davis and a sister, Dianne Safford.
He always taught us to love and trust in God, no matter the situation. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all and he is going to be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Jessica Davis Jones and husband Joshua of Lenoir, a son, Robert Jaron Davis and wife Ashley of Richmond, VA, as well as daughter, Roxane Ryder of Lenoir, sister, Libby Davis Walker and husband Larry of Lenoir, a sister-in-law, Renee Moore Davis of Lenoir, a brother-in-law, Bill Safford of Lenoir, his grandchildren Hunter Philyaw, Ayden Ryder, Sophia Jones and Millie Jones, all of Lenoir, and a special uncle, Jeff Davis of Lenoir.
He is also survived by his former spouse, Tena Davis of Lenoir as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends.
A funeral service to honor Robert will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Central Advent Christian Church with Rev. Manny Elswick, Rev. Marshall Tidwell and Rev. Floyd Boston officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Bumgarner, Kyle Walker, Joel Walker, Mike Moore, Billy Safford and Ed Carswell.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm at Central Advent Christian Church in Lenoir.
The family respectfully requests that any memorial be made to Central Advent Christian Church in Bobby's honor at 104 Willow Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
