
Robert “Bob” Fleming, 87 of Lenoir, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Fleming was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arthur J. and Irene Kleckner Fleming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Martin Fleming and a brother, Russell Fleming.
Bob was well known for his wood crafts. He was a member of the Kings Creek Baptist Church and the Kings Creek Ruritan Club and the American Legion Post #29.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Brookshire Robbins Fleming of the home; four sons, Ted Fleming, (Anna Marie) of Lenoir, Jim Fleming, (Laura) of Orlanda, Fl, Thomas Robbins, (Helen) of Lenoir, and David Robbins of Thomasville, NC; one daughter, Frances Oxford, (Bill) of Lenoir; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Kings Creek Baptist Church, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Randy Goode officiating. The family will receive friends at Kings Creek Baptist Church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
