Mr. Wilcox was born November 4, 1951 in Ashe County to the late Roscoe and Dorothy Hopkins Wilcox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Pruitt Wilcox and a son, Roscoe Wilcox.
Robert was a sander and worked in the furniture industry for most of his adult life. He was a simple man and lived a simple life. He enjoyed his time home with his family above all else.
He is survived by his children, Michael Wilcox, Hubert Wilcox and wife Selena, Bernita Ellen Mahala and husband Gene, all of Lenoir and a brother, Billy Wilcox. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Wilcox will be held privately.
