Ruth Elizabeth Boughman

She was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecoastal Church of God.

Mrs. Boughman was born, April 26, 1920 in Caldwell County to the late Oscar Greene and Ella Hollar Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Hardin Boughman; three sisters, Ruby Dyson, Clara Pope, and Beatrice Horne; three brothers, Roy, O.G., and Wayne Nelson; two daughters, Doris Louise Greer, Delphine Lois Parrish and one granddaughter, Connie Lynn Storie.

Survivors include, three sons Daniel, Sr. and Donald Boughman of Lenoir, NC and David Boughman of Hickory, NC; three daughters Delma Loretta Storie of Morganton, NC, Donna Loy Hendrix of Granite Falls, NC, Dixie Lillian Sheets of Granite Falls, NC; twenty-nine grandchildren and fifty-four great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Boughman will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home with Reverend David Crisp officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Danny Boughman, Jordan Boughman, Michael Sheets, Donny Sheets, Brett Storie and Rick Storie.
