Ruth I Reece

Mrs. Reece was born in Watauga County to the late Carroll Icenhour and Bertha Warren Icenhour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grable B. Reece and a son, Ned Lee Reece. She was retired from Bernhardt Furniture and was a member of South Lenoir Church of God.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Reece of Lenoir; a brother, Carroll Icenhour, Jr.; sisters, Georgia Main, Roselee Williams and Josephine Cauden; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at South Lenoir Church of God with Reverend Ernest Bowes, Reverend Howard Smith and Reverend Mike Carswell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645 or to South Lenoir Church of God, 1786 Hickory Blvd, SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
