Shannon Edward Cochran

Shannon Edward Cochran passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 while faithfully laboring at his job for the United States Postal Service / Vehicle Maintenance Facility in Hickory, N.C. He is predeceased by his father James Edward Cochran and his mother, Linda Keever Carter. Those remaining behind to cherish his memory include his fiance of eight years Melany Moseley Doty, step-father James Carter with two step-nephews Kirk Herman and Kyle Herman, step-father Gerald Richardson, and many cousins on both sides of the family as well as many special friends that are considered family.

Shannon successfully earned his associate's degree in Diesel Technology at the Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in 1990 and graduated from South Caldwell High School in 1988. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a mechanic for twenty-seven years.

A funeral service to honor his memory is scheduled for Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Pendry's Funeral Home.

Visitation for family and friends will occur on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:15 pm. Interment at Burke Memorial Park, will occur immediately following the funeral service. Family and friends are invited to the home of Shannon and Melany after the graveside service for a final farewell.
