Shelby Jean Davidson Broyhill

She was born on December 27, 1937 in Taylorsville, NC to the late Homer and Edith Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Broyhill; her two sons, Paul David Broyhill and Earl “Allen” Broyhill; a sister, Barbara D. Childres of Taylorsville; and a son-in-law, Steve Hamm.

Those left to cherish her in memory include a daughter, Janet Hamm of Lenoir; three sons, Tommy Broyhill and his wife, Bernie of Lenoir; Kenneth Broyhill of Lenoir; and Mark Broyhill of Lenoir; two granddaughters, Erinn Brookshire and her husband, Andrew; and Charity Broyhill and her fiancé, BJ Kidd of Lenoir; two grandsons, Alex Broyhill of Lenoir; and Kyle Broyhill and his wife, Brittany of CA; one great-granddaughter, Kenadee of CA; two great-grandsons, Bishop Kidd and Brody Kidd of Lenoir; one great-grandson, Lincoln arriving in January; one great granddaughter arriving in December; and also left to cherish her memory are Jolene, Cody, Kate, Jayden, Carson, Tyler and Beni.

She is also survived by her sister, Ethel Pardue of Taylorsville; brothers, James Davidson and his wife, Judy; William Davidson and his wife, Verleee; Junior Davidson; Charles Davidson and his wife, Deborah; and Larry Davidson, all of Taylorsville.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald Ingle officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
