Shirley Corine Anderson
June 2, 1926 – March 4, 2011
Shirley Corine Anderson, 84, of Lenoir died Friday, March 04, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Muskegon, MI to the late Frank Carl Alford and Lela Barns Alford. She was retired from Exxon Oil and a talented seamstress. She played the piano and clarinet, loved playing golf and was very proud when she got a hole-in-one in 2008.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Henry Anderson, Jr. of the home; her son, David Carl Anderson of Prairie Village, KS; her daughters, Carolyn Sue Wengerd of Lenoir and Barbara Lee Wojciechowski (Cameron) of Fenton, MI. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Anderson Wednesday, March 09, 2011 at Pendry’s Chapel at 5:00 p.m. with Mr. David Anderson officiating.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
