Shirley Mae Anderson, 82 of Lenoir passed away on July 5, 2019 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Anderson was born on February 1, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Dexter Wilson and Mary Lovins Wilson Trivette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Neal Thomas Sanders, brothers, Walter and Dexter Wilson and a sister, Sally Cardoza.

Shirley was a dedicated mother and grandmother who enjoyed quilting. She was employed for over 30 years as a CNAII at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Frances McLean, Theresa A. Goad, and Pamela Grindstaff, all of Lenoir and Dorothy Bailey of Delaware and a sister, Marie Barlow of Tennessee.

Also left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Shirley will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn McLean, Bill Faulkner, Roger Beaver, Jason Beaver, Charles McLean and Michael Townsend.
