Mr. Mask was born December 19, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Samuel Oscar Mask and Ruby Triplette Mask Hampton.
Ted was a proud veteran of the United States Army, retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Brakeman after over 20 years of dedicated service and he enjoyed cars, taking photos of cars, and he loved his grandchildren greatly.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Mazie Jean Lowrance Mask, of the home, son, Dean Mask and wife Vickie of Candler, grandson, Jesse Mask and wife Brittany of Hudson, 2 brothers, Bob Mask of Hickory, Sam Mask of Granite Falls and his great- grandchildren, Owen, Wyatt and Bria Mask and Rylee Rogers.
A funeral service to honor Mr. Mask will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with Rev. Edd Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and the Caldwell Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
