Ted Norris Sloan

Mr. Sloan was born on October 13, 1964 in Caldwell County to the late Ted Lacy Harper and Bertha Mae Sloan Michaux. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Roby Michaux and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He was a member of the Dulatown Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Susan McGee Sloan of the home; one step-son, Matt McGee of Charlotte, NC; one step-daughter, Meagan Church of Newton, NC; two brothers, Roby Michaux, III and Marcus Michaux, both of Lenoir, NC; three sisters, Diana Sloan Saroop and Tonia Michaux, both of Lenoir, NC, Sheila Sloan Berry of Conover, NC; and step-mother, Josephine Harper of Lenoir, NC.

A memorial service for Mr. Sloan will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel with the Reverend James Wilfong officiating. The family will speak to friends after the service.
