Thada C. Crisp

Mrs. Crisp was born July 12, 1930, in Virginia to the late L. C. Creger and Mary Jane Blevins Creger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, T. W. “Chip” Crisp; an infant son; brothers, Robert, James and David Creger.

She worked for D. D. Suddreth Furniture for 25 years and retired from Western Electronics. After her retirement, she was the sole secretary for Lenoir Golf Club until 2001. She was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Lenoir Ladies Golf Association and the Lenoir Golf Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary C. Kirby and husband Barry, of Lenoir; a brother, Charles W. Creger, and wife Nicky of Lenoir; grandchildren Shanon K. White, and husband Vincent, and Ryan Kirby and wife Tiffnay, both of Lenoir; and great grandchildren David White, Tyler Kirby and Payten Kirby.

The family will receive friends and have an informal memorial service Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with Reverend Randy Goode officiating.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Kings Creek Baptist Church, Window Fund, 4698 Kings Creek Church Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
