Virginia Lee Simpson

Virginia Lee Williams Simpson, 86, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at College Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Wilkes County to the late Nathan Williams and Georgianna Mastin. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and a member of the Baptist Women of Covenant Baptist. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Simpson, brother, R.J. Williams, and sister, Della Mae Sparks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Allene Simpson Bryant and husband, Richard of Lenoir; granddaughter, Tonya Bryant Young and husband, Steve of Mocksville; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Montgomery Young of Mocksville.

A funeral service will be held, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Covenant Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Bean and Mr.Terry Kale officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Covenant Baptist Church prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorials be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
