William Bill F. Deans

Mr. Deans was born in Suffolk, VA to the late W.W. Deans and Mary White Deans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and a step-son. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and an insurance agent for more than 40 years. He was of Methodist faith and a member of the Masonic lodge and the Shriners.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Gail Hartley Deans; his sons, Jon Deans and wife Diane of Georgia, and Ronald Deans and wife Arlene of California; his daughter, Karen Elaine Deans of Virginia. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren to cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jon Deans officiating.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western North Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215.
