I have many fond memories of Coot. When I was living in Atlanta, she and Bill would visit her sister, Vivian, and I got to know and love them and spent many wonderful times with them. Coot became like family to me. She was very generous with a wonderful sense of humor and a love of life. I regret that I was unable to see her more often in our later years. I send my deepest sympathy and love to her family and friends.

I wrote a memory just now, but it doesn't seem to have gone through. I, Elva, and Ken, my husband, would like to send our condolences to the family of Wilmetta. She was a very nice lady and played the piano at Sleepy Hollow Bible Baptist Church (started by Flemings Chapel where we are members). We help out at Sleepy Hollow Bible Baptist Church. Wilmetta had been asked by Pastor Honson (who now lives in Georgia) to help out at Sleepy Hollow by playing the piano, and she did for several years. May God comfort all the family. [ My aunt Tillie Roots was a close friend of Wilmetta's in years gone by.]

May God richly bless and comfort all the family and friends.

Coot was a wonderful friend to our entire family but she was especially close to my Mom (Tillie Roots). They loved going shopping and out to eat. I'm sure eating was one of their favorite things to do. Coot was a dear friend to Mom even when Mom had to live in Carolina Rehab. She would always come and see her and she was faithful to send cards every week. Mom loved getting the mail because she knew she would have a card from Coot. Friendships are so precious and very few folks will enjoy the friendship Mom and Coot had. The memories we shared with Coot and Bill at their home will be cherished. What a blessing. We pray that God will comfort the family in only the way HE can. Family just remember to lean on God and call on friends.
Love and prayers,
The Arney Family
