

Carlton Stanley Lambert, 74, of Tatum, New Mexico passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Family visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 12:00-1:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm in the George Price Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Carlton was born September 8, 1941 to Loyd and Anna Faye Lambert in Clauene, Texas. He was baptized in Decatur, Texas as a young boy at Fundamental Baptist Church. Carlton graduated from Levelland High School in 1961. He married Judy Rork of Whiteface, Texas on January 2, 1965 in Union, Texas. Carlton and Judy lived in Tatum, New Mexico for 45 years and were married for 51 years. Carlton served in the Texas National Guard from 1963-1969. He worked in the oilfield for Cities Services for 28 years and for Stearns, Inc. as a dispatcher for 10 years. Carlton loved dancing and old country music. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and liked hunting and fishing trips with friends and his brother, Allen. Preceding Carlton in death were his parents, his sister-in-law, Wilma Lambert and two grandchildren, Tyrel and Carson. He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Brandon and wife Tiffany of Tatum, NM, and Lance and wife Stacie of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Dana of Tatum, NM; brother, Allen Lambert of Quemado, NM; niece, Carla and husband Dale of Quemado, NM; and 6 grandchildren, Austin, Cayden, Tanyon, Landen, Kailey, and Bre.
