Funeral Services for Darren Robert Hopkins, 45, of Levelland, Texas will be 4:30 pm, Monday, June 18, 2012 in the George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland, Texas. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Levelland, Texas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, June 17, 2012.

Darren was born to Darrell Robert Hopkins and Donna Andrews Hopkins in Newton, Kansas. He was raised in Canton, Kansas and graduated from Canton-Galva High School. He moved to Texas in 1986 from Kansas. He married Tammy Strickland on October 18, 1997 in Levelland, Texas.

Survivors include his father and step-mother: Darrell and Wanda Hopkins of Weatherford, Texas; his mother and step-father: Donna and Truman Slatten of Collins, Missouri; three daughters: Rachael Dee Ann Hopkins of Amarillo, Texas; Kasie Aguirre and her husband , Kyle of Aiea, Hawaii; and Abagail McClean; his son: Brandon Cobb of Paradise, Texas; his grandmother: Darleen Nonken of Peabody, Kansas; and two grandchildren: Jace Tyler Aguirre and Elizabeth Reyna . He was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel Ray Hopkins and Darrek Eugene Hopkins; his grandparents: Julia Hopkins, Claude Hopkins and Vernon Nonken and his mother in law and father in law: Patsy and Jerry Strickland.
