Faye Bass "Nanny" Nunn

Funeral services for Faye Nunn, 84, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 17, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas with Dr. Sammy Elliott, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. She died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas.

Born on December 13, 1926 in Texline, Texas to J. A. and Edna (Walker) Bass, she moved to Levelland in 1953 from Dalhart, Texas. She married Raymond Nunn on December 20, 1942 in Boise City, Oklahoma. He died on June 11, 1986. Faye was an active member of First Baptist Church, Levelland, where she was a nursery worker for many years. But most of all she was “Nanny” to her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Epperson of Lubbock, Texas; two sons: Jackie Nunn and his wife, Gail of Petersburg, Texas and Jimmy Nunn and his wife, Judy of Levelland, Texas; a sister: Pat Wright of Odessa, Texas, seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
