Finous James "Jim" Froman

Graveside services for Finous James “Jim” Froman, 82, of Levelland will be 11:00 AM, Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Serenity Chapel, City of Levelland Cemetery with Elgin Conner, minister of 13th and Avenue K Church of Christ, Levelland, officiating. Burial is under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. He died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at his home. He was under the care Interim Hospice.

Born on September 30, 1930 in Elbow, Texas to James Claude and Maime Marie (Estep) Froman, he attended school there. He served in the United States Army for a time in 1951. Jim was a real estate agent. He lived in California for a time and returned to Texas in 1977. He married Loretta Lee Snow on August 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 26, 1988. He later married Doris Gregory on August 27, 1988.

Survivors include his wife: Doris Froman, Levelland, Texas; Two sons: James Lee Froman and Bobby Dwayne Froman and his wife, Sharon, all of Levelland, his step daughter: Lanelle Cadell and her husband Ed of Amarillo, Texas. three step sons: Roy Gregory and his wife Ann and Danny Gregory, all of Levelland, Texas; and Sam Gregory and his wife, Jana of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters: Erma Mae Oaks of Missouri; and Billie Jo Patterson of California; a brother, Larry Froman of California and a sister-in-law: Shirley Froman and a granddaughter: Kristi Froman, three great grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Froman, and a daughter in law: Cathy Gregory.
