

Funeral Services for Floyd Earl Ward, 85, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Monday, November 14, 2011 at First Assembly of God Church, Levelland, Texas with Reverend Robert Burns, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. He died Friday, November 11, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas.
Floyd was born in Navarro County, Texas on November 11, 1926 to Van Luther and Annie (Covington) Ward. He was a longtime resident of Levelland, Texas having moved here from Navarro County, Texas in 1944. In 1945, he enlisted in the US Army and served during World War II. Following his discharge from the service, he returned to Levelland and went to work in the oilfield. He retired from AMOCO Production Company after 37 years. He married Erma Frances Whitten on August 20, 1950. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Naomi Mulkey, and a daughter, Judy Ward. Floyd was a member and secretary-treasurer of
of First Assembly of God Church, Levelland, Texas for 49 years.
Survivors include his daughter: Kathy Reppart and her husband: Michael of Abilene, Texas; his fiancée, Jean Eller of Levelland, Texas, two sisters: Joyce Huffaker of Lubbock, Texas and Avis Keen Rodgers of Levelland and two grandchildren: Natalie Reppart and Hayley Reppart, both of Abilene, Texas.
