Frances Janice Stroope of Amarillo, formerly of Smyer, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Friday, May 22, 2015, in the George Price Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the City of Smyer Cemetery. Janice was born in Abilene on July 31, 1932. She married Marvin Stroope of Smyer on March 2, 1951. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Marvin Stroope of Amarillo, formerly of Smyer; sons and daughter-in-laws, Mike and Leah Stroope of Amarillo, and Mark and Linette Stroope of Smyer; grandchildren Justin Stroope of Canyon, Jason and Rebecca Stroope of Amarillo, Jon and Emily Stroope of Trinity, and Lyndee Stroope of Smyer; and six great-grandchildren.
