Gregory Miles Stanley

Graveside services for Gregory Miles Stanley of 226 Redwood Lane, Levelland, are scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday at the City of Levelland Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors. He died Sunday at his residence. Gregory, with family, moved to Levelland in 1961. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1971. He attended South Plains College where he obtained his associates degree in science. He was employed by Sun Oil Company, and later went to work as a Field Foreman for Wheeler Operations for twenty-two years. Gregory loved sports, being very proud to have played on the co-champion Lobo baseball team his senior year. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had acquired an extensive collection of arrowheads and spear points, which were mainly discovered here on the South Plains. Survivors are two sons, Christopher Stanley of Lubbock; Derek Stanley of Durango, Colorado; his father Gene Stanley of Levelland; three sisters, Tara Thrash and husband Wallace of Lubbock; Carrie Donart and husband Edwin of Arlington, Texas; and Tracie Petri and husband Lewis of Lewisville, Texas. Also, two granddaughters, Averi and Abi Stanley of Levelland.
