.Funeral services for Helen Graf, 56, of Levelland , Texas will be 2:00 PM, Friday, October 29, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, Levelland. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. She died October 26, 2010.

She was born on August 31, 1954 in Levelland and had spent nearly all of her life here.

Helen graduated from Levelland High School in 1972 and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in History and Art from Western State University, Gunnison, Colorado in 1976. She married Dave Graf on February 4, 1984 in Levelland. She was an accomplished quilter and needleworker and loved to spend time in Lake City, Colorado, her home away from home.

Survivors include her husband, Dave Graf of Levelland, her son: Patrick Graf of Lubbock, Texas, her mother, Pat Grappe of Levelland, her father and step mother, Clyde and Maurine Grappe of Levelland, two brothers: Ray Grappe and his wife, Mary Lu of Levelland, Texas; Danny Grappe of Austin, Texas; her sister, Ann Capps and her husband, Bobby of Levelland, Texas; a step sister: Marti Viaille and her husband, Robert of Monahans, Texas; a step brother: Terry Thomas and his wife, Vickie of Andrews, Texas; her sister in law: Diane Wallace and her husband, Glenn of Leander, Texas. her nieces and nephews: James and Sarah Capps and Mark and Michal Grappe, all of Lubbock, Texas; Whitney and Tim Lamonte, Tyler, Texas , Aaron Grappe of Levelland, Michael and Christian Grappe of Orlando, FL, Amber and DeWayne Maynard, Kristi and Heath Kitchens, and Kimberly Atkinson, all of Hutto, Texas; a great nephew and six great nieces.

The family suggests memorials to the Joe Arrington Cancer Center, Lubbock, Texas or the SPC Foundation, 1401 College Avenue, Levelland, Texas 79336.
