The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. She died Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Corinth, Texas.
She was born on December 8, 1916 in Malakoff, Texas to David and Pearl Grimes Jenkins. She married W. O. Beadles on November 2, 1935 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1977. She moved to Levelland in 1945 from Sulphur Springs, Texas and later moved to Gainesville, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers. J. P. (Preston) Jenkins and G. W. (Dub) Jenkins, a sister; Lula Harred, granddaughters: Robin Beadles and Rhonda and Kelli Lambert.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters: Billy Beadles and wife Teena of Lubbock, Texas; Wilma Lambert and husband, Allen of Quemado, New Mexico, Teddy Beadles of Big Sandy, Texas; Mickey Beadles and wife Jessie; Tommy Beadles and wife, Jaynel all of Lubbock, Texas and Tammy and Gregg McDonald of Gainesville, Texas. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her lifelong friend of 85 years, Verda Jones of Rowlett, Texas and her former daughter in law, Renea Beadles of Slaton, Texas.
“Bugs” was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist church. She taught 4 and 5 year olds in Sunday School for many years. She loved children and made sure that every child in her class learned her favorite verse, John 3:16. She was the Church Custodian and gardener and took great pride in planting beautiful flowers in front of the church.
Heaven is more full because of the work that she and other very special ladies from Fairview Baptist Church did when they were on earth. The last prayer we heard our mother say was “Oh Lord, I thank you.”
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimers Foundation in honor of her son, Billy Beadles.
