Uncle Jimmy was a great man in my life. I have so so many memories of him. I wish I could share them all, but I think my very favorite memories of him were at the "Seahorse" swimming pool in Lubbock. He would put me on his back and I would wrap my arms around his neck and he would take me into the deep end of the pool. He made me feel so safe. In the pool and out.
Thank you, Uncle Jimmy, for rushing us all into your cellar on May 11, 1970. And for taking the bathroom door off it's hinges to rescue me when I accidentally locked myself in (age 2) , and for letting me spend so many nights, weekends and summer vacations at your house, and for being their for our family, never stopped by rain nor snow, nor heat nor gloom of night. I love you, and will see you again soon...Susie
