Celebration of Life Services for Joyce Louise Brown, 85 of Levelland, will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Chapel at George Price Funeral Home. Joyce passed from this life Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Levelland. She was born May 8, 1933 in Vinson, OK to the late Ralph William and Veldima (Green) Sherrill. Joyce worked hard on the family farm as well as helping to raise 7 siblings. She loved children and thoroughly enjoyed her time as a door greeter at WalMart. Joyce was a vocal advocate for all who were less fortunate and shared anything she had with others in need. She loved her family, her First Assembly of God Church, Bill Gaither Gospel music, bingo, gardening, jewelry making, and most of all cooking her favorite dishes that were passed down from her mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Brown, her parents, brothers, R. L. and Ralph Winfred Sherrill, sisters, Earlene Pierce and Ruth Lawson, granddaughters Alecia Olmeda and Heather Phillips and a great grandson, Randy Hopper. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda Bollinger (Darrel) of Clovis, NM, Debbie Phillips (Roy), Marsha Stanley all of Levelland, TX.; son, Doug Lacasse (Kay) Minden, LA.; grandchildren, Justin Bollinger (Kerri), Jalaina Foster (Brandon), Shannon Peterman, Jessica Phillips, April Stanley, Casey Lacasse, Autumn Lacasse and Layne Hopper; great grandchildren, Garrett and Greyson Bollinger, Braddock, Braxton and Brayson Foster, Alaina Stanley, Kristina Long, Abigail and Bryar Peterman, Adam and Jonathan Hopper; siblings, RW Sherrill (Ella) of Vinson, OK., Gerald (Ann) Sherrill of Sayre, OK., Melva Thompson of King Fisher, OK and Patricia West of Carrollton, TX. And her long time caregiver April Blodgett.
