Julia Adean Huffman

Funeral Service for Julia Adean Huffman, 88, of Amarillo, Texas and formally of Sundown, Texas will be Tuesday, November, 15, 2011 at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church of Sundown, Texas, with Reverend Randy Winfrey officiating and assisted by Reverend Glen Smith. Burial will be in the Sundown Cemetery, Sundown Texas, under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. A family visitation will be held on Monday, November, 14, 2011 at George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. Adean died Saturday, November, 12, 2011 in the BSA Hospice, in Amarillo, Texas.

Adean was born on April 28, 1923 in Olney Texas to Charlie Dave Nicholson and Lummie Jane Barrett.

She married Sidney Huffman on January 17, 1942 in Newcastle, Texas. Mr. Huffman preceded her in death December 9, 1998. Adean was a member of The First Baptist Church of Sundown, Texas; she was also a member of the Senior Golfers and the Sundown Quilting Club. Adean was a homemaker and a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her twin daughters; Linda Stafford and her husband Dick of Temple, Texas, and Glinda Rusk and her husband Bud of Amarillo, Texas; her son: Don Huffman of Lufkin, Texas, also her daughter: Nancy Howard of Amarillo, Texas; she is also survived by her six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 203 East Seventh, Sundown, Texas, 79372 or to the Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center, 3108 S. Fillmore Street, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
