Lawrence Larry Henderson Boggs

Funeral services for Lawrence H. (Larry) Boggs, 85, of Levelland will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 20, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, Levelland with Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor and Rev. Archie Echols of Lubbock, officiating. Burial will follow in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Levelland.

Born to Ernest Henderson and Myrtle Lee Boggs on January 23, 1925 in Pilot Point, Texas, he and his family moved to Levelland when he was two years old. He graduated from Levelland High School. Larry served in the U. S. Navy aboard a supply ship during World War II. He married Norma Brasick on December 24, 1954 in Levelland. She preceded him in death in 1994. He worked for AMOCO Production for many years, retiring as a CO 2 Techician in 1986. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, Levelland.

He is survived by his son: Joe Boggs of Levelland and numerous nieces and nephews.
