Lewis Perez

Funeral services for Lewis Perez, 56, of Whiteface will be 10:00 am, Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Levelland with Rev. Rudolfo Crasta, officiating. Rosary will be 7pm Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the George Price Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Whiteface Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Levelland.

Lewis was born on June 21, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Ramon and Rebecca (Sepulbeda) Perez, Sr. He was a longtime resident of Whiteface. He graduated from Bledsoe High School and then went to work in the oilfield. He married Charlene Woods on June 19, 1982 in Morton, Texas. Lewis retired from Big Bear Aggie Tech in Sundown. He coached Little Dribblers and Baseball and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he was active with the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Mary Smith.

Survivors include his wife; Charlene Perez of Whiteface, two daughters: Erica Lopez of Levelland and Amanda Perez of Lubbock, Texas; six brothers, Ramon Perez, Martin Perez, Tommy Perez and Phillip Perez, all of Whiteface, Texas; Sid Perez of Levelland, Texas and David Perez of Newberry, South Carolina; three sisters: Margie Woods of Levelland, Bea Fanning of Brownwood, Texas and Angie Delgado of Toledo, Iowa and two grandchildren: Shaun and Joseph Lopez.
