Funeral services for Margaret Wever Savage, 89, of Fredericksburg, Texas and formerly of Lubbock, Texas will be 10:00 am, Friday, March 12, 2010 in George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland with Josh Stephens of Lubbock, Texas officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home of Levelland. She died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Fredericksburg, Texas.

She was born on July 29, 1920 in Mertzon, Texas to Wiley and Maggie Cunningham Wever. She married Lee Hugh Savage on January 29, 1938 in Mangum, Oklahoma. They moved to Texas shortly after their marriage. They moved to California and then back to Texas where they resided at various places in the Lubbock area. She was a member of Greenlawn Church of Christ, Lubbock, Texas. They moved to Fredericksburg in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Hugh Savage of Fredericksburg; a son and daughter in law: Eddie and Tomi Savage of Blessing, Texas and a daughter and son-in-law; Cary and Brenda Miller of Kingsland, Texas; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous great- great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Lubbock Children’s Home.
